BAE Systems gets $13.6M to continue support of Navy systems

BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services Inc. is being awarded a $13.56 million modification to a previously awarded contract for the operation and maintenance of Navy communication, electronic and computer systems.

The bulk of the work will be done at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, with the balance in Geraldton, Australia, the Department of Defense said in a statement.
While the work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, if all options are exercised, work could continue through May 2015, the Pentagon said.

The contract was procured online by the Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center at Pearl Harbor through the Navy Electronic Business Opportunities and the Federal Business Opportunities websites. Only one proposal was received.
