Thales CEO confirms domestic munitions production

“This is a great day for the Australian Defence Force, our employees and Australian manufacturing.

“The Minister has given us the green light to keep producing high quality munitions for the ADF, ensuring a very important industry stays in this country.

“We’d like to recognise the cooperative approach the Department of Defence has taken to get to this stage, and also the hard work of all our employees. They’ve been great all the way through this, and have performed admirably despite the uncertainty.

“With today’s statement, we can now continue to invest in the future – opening new markets, developing new products and targeting exports.”
