TAE Looks Forward to Supporting the Joint Strike Fighter’s F135 Engine in Australia
TAE, Australia’s leading gas-turbine engine maintenance and engineering company, is pleased to announce its selection as the regional maintenance, repair, overhaul and upgrade provider for the Pratt & Whitney F135 engine that powers the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
“We are very excited to have been selected to be responsible for the maintenance, repair, overhaul and upgrade responsibilities of the F135 engine in the Asia Pacific region” said General Manager, Andrew Sanderson.
“We look forward to working with the Joint Program Office, Australia’s Defence Material Organisation and Pratt & Whitney over the coming years to establish this key sustainment capability at Amberley for this 5th generation fighter engine and expand our renowned level of quality customer service to this exciting new technology.”
Operating from four sites in Australia, TAE is the largest independent turbine engine MRO provider in Australia providing gas-turbine engine and component MRO services for military forces, regional airlines, charter operators and the region’s agricultural aircraft.
TAE’s current engine capability includes the F404 and F414 jet engines for the F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet, the TPE331, PT6A and H80 turboprop engines and the APS500/APS1000 auxiliary power units.
